Infernal is the most visually striking of the heroes in the United States. He appears as a slim, lean man aflame in blue fire. Most usually assume this fire is created by the friction of him moving superfast, but this isn't the case at all. Infernal discovered long ago the blue flame that envelopes him is temporal energy, meaning when it appears he can move at impossible speeds is actually Infernal controlling the flow and ebb of time around himself.

As a hero, Infernal was one of the first in this new generation to show up, but that doesn't seem to ease his reluctance. As a person, Infernal dislikes conflict and was called by Ultra the 'conscientious objector'.
